BMW Isetta




BMW introduced the Isetta 250 in 1955. The Isetta desing was bought from ISO
who introduced the Isetta in 1953. The Isetta 250 received a four-stroke 247cc
engine from the R25 motorcycle. In 1956 BMW introduced the Isetta 300 which had
a 297cc engine from the R27 motorcycle. All Isetta models had four wheels but
there are some models made in England who actually had three wheels. All Isetta
models went out of production in 1962.
